2018 Book Totals & A Look Back

I didn’t set any reading goals for 2018. Not really. If anything, I wanted to cut back on the amount of books I read because I wanted to make sure I did other things besides just read. Based on my total numbers for the year, I think I did just that.

Total Books Read for 2018: 301 (302 if you count my own)
New Reads: 266
Rereads: 35
Written: 1

Not only did I read less books overall, but I wrote one of my own. Well, mostly. I’m still waiting on my last round of edits from my editor. Since I don’t really know how much time it is going to take to finish the next steps (last round of edit revisions, send off to proofreader and fix those, then off to cover art), I don’t really have a release goal yet.  I did get an amazingly generous offer from my beta reader to do my proofreading, even though she JUST got back into her house a little over a week ago for the first time in months after the fire. I love that woman to pieces.

Besides books and writing, I probably more than doubled the total number of photos I took this last year. So much so, the way I name my files hit an end point I wasn’t expecting, so I had to change it up a bit. I also started up my FAA/Pixels website in an effort to offer up prints of some of my best ones for anyone that is interested.

I even found time to work on a couple of creative projects. So, I think that overall, I did what I set out to do for 2018. Not too bad considering all the house drama and problems we had over the last year. I’m not overly sad to see the backside of 2018 because it was pretty hectic. I’m hoping that 2019 looks a whole lot better and definitely a whole lot less with stuff breaking and better health for everyone.
