Resonance

I obviously enjoy a wide range of books across many genres, but the ones that tend to stick with me the most are the ones that can give me a story about the imperfections of humanity and do so with a strong emotional impact, be it through humor, joy, anger, love, tears or grief. As long as the story fully engages my emotions, I’m probably going to really enjoy it, but even more so if it has a central focus on family.

Searching And Questioning

My steps towards finding an editor have been… interesting. Yet again, expectations and reality didn’t quite meet up. After a few initial conversations and some deeper digging, I’ve discovered that I am probably looking at several thousand dollars to go through an entire process of different levels of editing as well as cover and design work for my book.

Crazy Mode

It is officially recital weekend and I’m in crazy mode. Yesterday was all about running around and getting some last minute things taken care of (why it takes until last minute before she realizes she needs some of these kinda important things is beyond me). Today won’t be much better because I, again, managed to add another thing to my to do list when I offered to make the recital bouquets for BG and her dance friend.

More Snow

We got more snow this morning. Not a lot. Probably less than an inch, but it was a nice refresh to what we got the other day and that had already mostly melted. I like seeing it on the ground, stuck in the branches of the trees and on the bushes. It is especially nice that there isn’t so much that the roads are bad. There is something about a new snow that makes the world feel fresh and new and clean. Continue reading “More Snow”
