I was kneeling on the ground working on getting some photos of my autumn sedum when I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. I fully expected to see a fly or a bee as they love the sedum. Instead, I get this intense looking guy hanging out on the hinge of my fence gate and he is just staring at me. Every shift in position I make, he moves so he is still looking at me.
I managed to get a shot or two before I just couldn’t do it anymore and decided to go find something else to take pictures of. Did I mention I’m SO not a fan of spiders? Even getting this ready to post gave me the creepy crawlies. There is a reason this isn’t a better shot.
This peony had a friend. And apparently also one of those little red mite/spider thingies. I didn’t know about the red visitor until I brought this up on my computer. This little friend stuck around long enough for me to get a few shots before he slinked back behind the flowers.
Going through all the photos I took yesterday, I realized that I had so many that I loved, I could spend weeks posting a single image a day. I’ve decided to post them all together instead of one at a time. They are far from perfect, but there are things about each one that I really love. Some are the color, some are the intricacies of the web itself, others are because of the detailing or effects of the water drops. These are my favorites, for whatever reason.
Please excuse the quality. These were taken through a rather dirty window. It’s always fun to be sitting in a cozy spot reading only to turn to the side and see you have an eight legged friend reading over your shoulder.
