It's a rainy, dreary day today making it difficult to get motivated to work on much. At least I'm moving mostly pain free today, so that is definitely a win. I might just have to take advantage of the overcast day and work on getting the only cap and gown photos I'm going to get… Continue reading Rainy Day
I had such a hard time deciding if I wanted to post this version or the color version because they are both amazing. So... Yesterday went well for BG. She feels so much better about everything now that she knows how the new normal looks and runs at dance. The masks were an absolute hit… Continue reading Black and White Drops and Ruffles
Okay, so there isn't anything really special about this photo, but there is something about the color contrast of the honeysuckle bloom laying on that purple petal that just kind of grabs you. I just thought it was an interesting contrast of colors, especially because it was such an unintentional setup. Today marks the beginning… Continue reading Iris, Honeysuckle, & Chaos
Why am I reposting a photo from last spring you ask? Because this spring is apparently the pits this year when it comes to getting good photos of any flowers. I think Mother Nature forgot it was supposed to be spring and keeps tossing us freezing winter temps.
After nearly a week of beautiful, open window weather, today is a nasty, cold day. Not just cold, but we are currently below freezing. My remaining hyacinths won't survive the cold snap. It is doubtful the rest of the daffodil's will either. The one I have left to bloom, the edges will get a bit… Continue reading Freezing Edge
I ran out to try and get a good photo of the flowers drenched in rain, but it was still coming down just a little too much for me to be able to do more than a REALLY quick shot. That and I'm not crazy enough to sit out there trying to get the perfect… Continue reading Rainy Day Hyacinth
These aren't quite open, though they are getting so close. I have a couple that are still deep into the new bud phase that will take even longer. It is kind of nice as it will keep something blooming in that front bed for a while. I got confirmation that the prom that MC was… Continue reading Beginning To Open
These aren't open yet. I do have some that are more open, but these just looked really interesting.
It is cold and rainy today, which made for some phenomenal photos, even if it is more crocus. I would have gotten more, but it was actually still misting and I really wasn't in the mood to get drenched, so I only got a handful. I WILL have some hyacinths for you soon as they… Continue reading Rain Kissed Crocus
I have Irises blooming. Not all of them yet, but a few. I love the color variations in this one. It is so vivid and eye catching. Irises are some of my favorite to photograph because there are so many different interesting parts, especially once you get close. Fair warning, there will be lots more… Continue reading Rain Speckled Iris
Yesterday was kind of nasty, with rain most of the day. We did have a very brief period where the rain not only stopped, but the sun came out and we got some really pretty blue skies. Of course I took advantage and ran out to try and get some pictures. This one is one… Continue reading Between The Rains
