Painting Day

I’m finally getting around to doing something I promised BG a year ago or more. Painting her bathroom. I am so not looking forward to it because it is a small space with not a whole lot of solid wall. That means there is going to be a crap ton of up and down on the step ladder, crawling around on the floor, hugging a toilet and basically bending myself into a pretzel to get it done because it is almost all edges, hence the nearly a year to get around to doing what I said I would.

Hopefully I wont kill myself in the process and can actually get to writing that book review I need to do. So far, this summer has been a series of stuff to do and interruptions and sickies and weird, random allergy outbreaks on both BG’s part and mine. I am ready for things to get to some semblance of a normal summer routine, but I have a feeling that isn’t going to happen this year.

Soft Color Sand Cherry Blossom

Almost all the photos I post are straight from the camera, with little to no edits. If I do, most often it is just a simple crop to reframe the image a bit or a straight up change to black and white. I was seeing how this would look in black and white, but when I dropped the saturation levels a little, I loved the softer, muted colors so much more than a full on black and white. I did the same with another image from that day and I think it may be one of the new things I do.

Prints can be found on TJ’s Pixels site.

So yesterday was apparently no exception to the pattern my life seems to be on lately and crazy was the theme. Early in the day, I made a cool connection to help promote my book. Maybe. Fingers still crossed on that and I will have an update when I know more.

Next Step – Research

I have finally finished the last of the suggested edits I have for my book. Those are edits I’ve gotten from my two beta readers. I also managed to get a last complete read through completed once those were done to make sure the changes I made didn’t mess anything up in the process.

All that means is that I’m now at the point where I need to hire an editor and a cover designer. I don’t have either one picked out yet, so that means it is time to do some heavy duty research. I know what I’ll be working on next week!
