As if things weren’t crazy enough around here, I got to add spending a chunk of my day yesterday in the ER with Hubby. Apparently it was his turn to enjoy the fun filled time of getting poked and prodded.

I HAVE WINDOWS! I just cannot gush enough about how amazing it is to not just be done, but to have these windows instead of the old ones.
I’m on day 2 of window replacement and I really couldn’t be much happier with it all. We have a stunningly amazing crew of guys that are doing such an amazing job. They have been courteous, kept their messes way contained, and been conscious of the cats as they have worked when they needed to access the area we had them confined in, which is damn near impossible with so many people in and out, carrying things and destroying others. There honestly isn’t much I can complain about. I really only have one issue and I’m pretty certain it was just an oversight that will get corrected today.
So, I’m in my last day of getting the house ready for the new windows tomorrow. I’m taking down the last of the curtains in the living room when I notice something on the ceiling. I turn to look and I have a nice line of water spots, nearly across the entire length of the room.
BG and I had another fun evening trying to get my cover image for my book. I THINK I may have gotten what I want. I need to do some playing with it, and then have an actual conversation with a cover designer, but… I’m seriously happy with what I have so far.
Absolutely lucked into this shot with the light coming through the window at the exact right time. I loved the way the shadow took on the color of the glass.
Yesterday was the start of a huge, deep cleaning and tossing out project. FINALLY after way too long, Hubby and I went through the basement and created our piles of trash vs. donate vs. keep. We are now ready for someone to come and get years of stuff we haven’t known what to do with or how to get rid of it.
It occurred to me the other day that I’m getting close to the two year anniversary of when the life I was familiar with began to get ripped apart, and continued to do so through the fall, yet I am still raw and healing in places.
BG graciously agreed to help me work on my book cover concept this week. I adore the fact that she is not only willing to help, but pretty excited to be a part of this with me.
