We passed the rough in inspection and the electrical has been completed so I now have both lights and power in the new room.
The lights that are currently in place are only temporary. My fixtures will go up once the drywall is done, which is supposed to start on Monday. The one sad thing is that means the one guy we’ve actually liked working here is done with his part and we will be dealing with yet another crew for the remaining pieces.
By my calculations, the drywall will take maybe 2 or 3 days and then the doors have to be installed, which is about another day. So it is quite possible that by Thursday of next week, I’ll be done with contractors in and out of my house and the rest of the work is down to me.
I cannot wait to get started!
