After reading the last several books that were so heavy, I really need something light and funny, but also new instead of a reread, so I’m open to recommendations. I’d love something along the lines of G.A. Aiken/Shelly Laurenston type of irreverent humor, but am open to most anything on the lighter/funnier side. Drop your suggestions in the comments!

I am a slightly sane artist, amateur photographer, book addict, wife, mom and raging introvert. I have more hobbies than I can count, so it is beyond shocking that I manage to find time to do any of them, let alone most of them and still have time to do anything else. Of all the talents I claim, writing wasn’t one of them until my muse dropped the idea for a book on my head.

I loved Jennifer Crusie’s “Fast Women.”

It made me laugh out loud. A flight attendant asked me what I was reading that was so funny, so when I finished it during the flight I passed it along to her. Crusie has written several other novels, and while they’re all cute, Fast Women is by far the best.

My library had this ebook available, so I’ve added it to my TBR.

Oh good! It’s been years since I read it. I might need to do so again.

Hmmm….awhile back I read something “why mommy drinks”. I don’t remember the author but I thought it was fairly humorous

I’ve got this on request at the library, but they didn’t have it as available. Hopefully they get it it for me!

Sorry, I don’t think I have any light and/or funny on my shelf. Now if you want suggestions for feminist dystopian literature I can supply those easily 😉

It’s so funny, I posted this expecting to spend the day reading (and probably being frustrated because I don’t have what I want to be reading right now) and I have only read maybe a half a chapter because I’ve had a ton of other things pop up instead.
