I was too late to catch this in a prime location last night, so I had to sneak it between house roofs. The colors were AMAZING! I’m actually floored at how good my camera grabbed the colors last night.

I noticed the color of the clouds out the windows opposite the sunset were just lightly tinged pink and I knew this was going to be stunning. I can’t actually see the sunset from any of my windows because of the positioning of our house.

Most of the time I get an idea of how nice it’s going to be because of the reflection off the windows of the houses behind us.

I grabbed my camera and ran out back to get these. There was this small line of faint, fluffy clouds just overhead that had the edge tinted pink and the moon was playing peek-a-boo with them.

In all I was only outside for maybe 5 minutes before the colors faded. I was lucky to get what I did.

wow! I cant actually see these as I am blind, but wow a sunset, I wish I could see one. I bet they’re stunning. xoxo

What kinds of descriptions in the alt section work better for you. I’ve always just been basic in that section, but if more information would be helpful, I’d be glad to work on modifying how I write up that section on my images. Probably half my posts or better are pictures of things in nature.

Well you can be as descriptive as you want I guess I’m pretty happy with basic description though just as long as I know what’s actually in the image I’m happy

I can take them from my window and then I sometimes go back to sleep. 😂 I post them on Facebook and a friend who’s been going through a difficult time told me they make her day so I try to do it for her.

Gorgeous photos! I usually catch sunrise but rarely sunset. My house is built into the mountain facing east and with forest behind me, so sunset is hard to see.

Sunrise is hard for me. Mostly because I’m lazy and still sleeping. Last year, I got to see it often as I was taking my daughter to school, but she started at the high school this year and she went with her brother and Dad and I wasn’t required to get up with the birds. I’m a night owl and mornings are not my friend. Sadly, I have a great location close to get some stunning sunrise shots (or at least I think it would be), but I haven’t gotten up early enough to test it out. I will. Someday.
