I am a slightly sane artist, amateur photographer, book addict, wife, mom and raging introvert. I have more hobbies than I can count, so it is beyond shocking that I manage to find time to do any of them, let alone most of them and still have time to do anything else. Of all the talents I claim, writing wasn’t one of them until my muse dropped the idea for a book on my head.

I’m jealous of all your snow. January in Michigan has been described as a ‘cold, gray bucket of suck’….but February is beautiful lol!

‘cold, gray bucket of suck’… LOVE IT! That is such an apt description of what we had until this snow. It is still cold, which sucks, but that means all that beautiful snow is still hanging around, which doesn’t suck. They are calling for more this weekend. I have a feeling I’m going to regret wishing for snow by the time it is all said and done.

Joey keeps bemoaning that we’ve had ‘no snow’. 😒😒😒 I’m like, have you met this state? It’ll be here soon enough. She’s not remembering all our power outages and ‘ice days’…not even snow days…just pure, ice pouring from the sky like it’s normal!

We have been incredibly lucky. There are lots of people in the area that are STILL without power. We had ours flicker once. In all the years we’ve been here, I don’t think our power has ever gone out because of weather since most of the lines that supply us are underground. That isn’t something I miss in my previous houses.

Being held hostage to the weather on power, especially when it is cold, really sucks
