Still Iced Over

Iced Over Torch

We had a second round of ice come through. Thankfully neither one was bad enough to cause the kind of damage that previous storms have caused. This time it was just enough to keep the kids home from school and Hubby working from home. Even then, it isn’t going to last long as we are already starting to melt. I’m glad I got out and got my photos taken when I did or I would have missed out.

I think I’m about to the point where I am done with the cold and winter and ready for spring to move in. This one has felt really off as we never really got any real measurable snow. Just a few dustings, but that was it. I would have liked to have had at least one good one, but I’m kind of done with the cold. And the sickies that have come with it.

I completely lucked out on even seeing this shot. I was trying to get the line of icicles that formed along the edge of this table from a lower angle and just happened to notice after I took that pic what the underside of the table had done. Hubby said it looked like the inside of a cave with stalactites.

This one reminds me of Fire Cherry Quartz with the clear outer layer and striations of color underneath. Even though the stone itself is man made, it has some really cool effects and is one of the few man made stones that I’ve worked with in the past.

I took too many pics to post them all in one post, so there will be more coming later.

    1. Thanks! I love what water and ice do to things to change their normal appearance and how amazing ice looks in all its different forms, so the last few days have been awesome for me. I can do without the cold parts though.
