More Snow

We got more snow this morning. Not a lot. Probably less than an inch, but it was a nice refresh to what we got the other day and that had already mostly melted. I like seeing it on the ground, stuck in the branches of the trees and on the bushes. It is especially nice that there isn’t so much that the roads are bad. There is something about a new snow that makes the world feel fresh and new and clean.

Today I’ll be working on a post Christmas clean/organization. It isn’t something I usually do, but Hubby was amazing and got me some much needed shirts and I just do not have the room. So, out goes the old that I can no longer wear or that I just don’t want to wear for any number of reasons. I’m going to try and encourage the kids to do the same as they have both expressed the desire to do some post Christmas clothes shopping.

When it came up initially, I was frustrated because they mentioned it AFTER I was done with my shopping. I realized that with both of them being older and way more particular about what they will and will not wear, I’d actually rather just take them shopping to get what they want than to try and pick something out and hope they will like it enough to wear it more than once. I’d already done that last year for BG for her birthday. Christmas really shouldn’t be any different. No, there won’t be clothes to unwrap, but it can be as much fun to do their own shopping, so we will make it work.

The closet clean out has been on my to do list for a long time anyway, so it will be good to finally get it done and out of the way.
