Annual Holiday Light Tour Tradition

Lit Inflatable Snowman

We did our annual holiday light tour tonight. We packed up the kids with blankets and hot chocolate, Hubby and I with coffee, ran through a drive thru for dinner and started on the neighborhoods near there.

After a couple of smaller neighborhoods and our dinner eaten, we ran to a convenience store in another area, filled up the car, let the kids grab a snack and went out to look at more lights.

The neighborhoods we hit are the ones we know that lots of houses decorate for the holidays or have at least one or two that really go all out.

Even though we may see pretty much the same thing every year, it is still fun to go and see if we can find something new or if some of our favorites have made any changes.

The whole time we have Christmas music playing and we are goofing off, laughing and singing all the way. At one point, we had a synchronized clap along with several songs and were laughing so hard by the time we were done we weren’t paying a whole lot of attention to the lights.

I drive everyone nuts when I roll down the window to hang out in an effort to get a drive by light shot.

As always, it is great to finally be done and home. The kids are holiday’d out for at least a few days so we can sit back and enjoy the quiet again for a while.
